Interesting Poll — Romney Now Viewed as Leader of Republican Party

This poll was just released by Rasmussen:

Is the leader of the Republican Party Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, John Boehner, Rush Limbaugh, Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin or someone else?

  • Boehner — 13%
  • Paul — 7%
  • Limbaugh — 7%
  • Santorum — 6%
  • Gingrich — 4%
  • Ryan — 4%
  • Palin — 2%
  • Other — 17%
  • Undecided — 14%

Here are the results of the same question to just Republicans:

  • Romney27%
  • Boehner — 14%
  • Santorum — 12%
  • Gingrich — 6%
  • Paul — 5%
  • Limbaugh — 5%
  • Ryan — 5%
  • Palin — 5%
  • Other/Undec — 25%

When “the Political Class” was asked, they chose Boehner over Romney 23% to 13% with Limbaugh at 12%.

The survey of 1,000 Likely U.S. Voters was conducted on March 31-April 1, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
