Poll: Crack Smoking Toronto Mayor has Higher approval than Obama

According to a new Forum Research poll,  the Foul mouthed crack smoking mayor of Toronto Obama_fordCanada has a higher approval rating then United States President Barack Obama.  Mayor Rob Ford has a forty-two percent (42%) job performance rating while a CBS poll released this week shows President Obama tanking at an all-time low of just thirty-seven percent (37%.)

According to Opposing Views:

The results of the survey of more than 1,000 responders about Mayor Ford were made public two days after Toronto City Council overwhelmingly voted to strip him of most of his mayoral powers, a move that 60 percent of the responders were in agreement with.

The Telegraph says Current Polls suggest that Ford could be competitive in the next election

The result suggests that Mr Ford could still be competitive in next year’s municipal election, although only 33 per cent of those polled said they would vote for him in 2014.

Mr Ford swept to power in 2010 with a pledge to cut costs at city hall, winning 47 per cent of the vote, as two left-leaning candidates split the rest.

Things are so bad for President Obama right now that some news companies have taken to comparing Obama with Ford:

Rob Ford is an admitted crack cocaine user. Barack Obama is a liar.

Revelation(s) of a personal vice are more damaging than a public lie.

Well, Obama had admitted to doing a bit of Blow back in his college days when he could afford it.

But some comedic commentators have come out against the comparison:

Stephen Colbert goes after CNN Don Lemon for making the Obama/Ford comparison:

Lemon stated on CNN’s “NewsRoom” that “you won’t find two politicians who’ve had worse weeks…. President Obama saying ‘I’m Sorry’ over and over for his so-called signature achievement Obamacare, Rob Ford though admitting to crack– to be a crack smoker.”

To this, Colbert was completely perplexed, and called out what he believed was the absurdity in “comparing the first black president to the first blackout mayor.”

“Yeah, they’re both in trouble. Therefore it’s an entirely fair comparison,” he mocked. “The same way that since they’re both on video, it’s fair to compare Don Lemon’s reporting to this dog milking a goat.”

Watch the video for the full clip.

What do we think?  Well Toronto Mayor needs to get some mental health and substance abuse treatment, President Obama has apparently put his drug use behind him and only needs a full overhaul on his world view.

Our bet on the prognosis of the two political figures:

  • Rob Ford will probably recover from his illness
  • President Obama will double down during his downward spiral.
